ANNOUNCEMENT
On Tuesday, January 7th, all Go Karts Go locations will be closed as we come together to honor our beloved founder, Wayne Russell, who passed away suddenly on December 26th. Wayne’s passing has been a profound shock to us all. As a family and a team, we feel it is only right to take this day to pay our respects to a truly remarkable man who meant so much to us, both personally and professionally. In 31 years, apart from Christmas Day, we have never closed all locations on a single day—especially during the busy school holiday season. But this is no ordinary day. This is the day we lay to rest the heart and soul of Go Karts Go, the man who worked tirelessly to bring joy and fun to so many.
Wayne loved this business deeply, and he often said with a big smile, “We’ve got the best job in the world—we sell fun.” His dedication and passion were unmatched. He poured his heart into building Go Karts Go into what it is today, alongside us, his sons Aaren and Drew. Anyone who met Wayne will remember his warm smile, his quick wit, and his genuine care for making every visitor’s experience unforgettable. This commitment to spreading happiness is part of the legacy we are honored to continue in his name. We understand this closure may inconvenience some, and we appreciate your understanding during this difficult time. It was not a decision we made lightly, but we owe it to Wayne to give him the farewell he deserves.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
With gratitude,
Mandy, Aaren, Drew Russell, and the entire Go Karts Go team
